新加坡教育又出大动作了！

7月25日，教育部网站公布了具体细节。从2021年起，教育部将取消总积分（T-score）制度，改成使用积分等级（Achievement Level，简称AL）。

AL共分为八级，AL 1是最优秀的等级，而AL 8则是最差。

总成绩将结合英语、数学、科学和母语四个科目的AL等级。也就是说，总成绩最好的分数是AL 1 x 4科=4分，最低的总分数是AL 8 x 4科=32分。

这有点类似于新加坡O水准考试，都是分数越低越好。只要总分数不超过20分，升入中学时就有可能进入快捷课程。

第一批受影响的，是今年小四的学生。

他们在升到五年级的时候，可以根据年终考试的成绩，来选择要上普通水平科目（Standard level），还是难度较低的基础水平科目（Foundation level）。

普通水平科目使用AL 1至AL 8的评分方法，基础水平科目则用AL A至AL C的评分方法。

但由于基础水平科目比起普通水平科目相对容易，因此换算起来，基础科目拿A的话，就等同于普通科目制度中的AL 6：

在这个新的积分制下，学生的成绩将基于他们个人在各个科目的表现。教育部表示，新制度将更好地反映学生的表现，而不是过度与其他学生作比较。

同时，修读高级华文，也会让小六学生报读同一所特选中学时，在总分相同的情况下更有升学优势。
