在前往的飞机上，我观看了本土电影《我们的故事》。像美国的《阿甘正传》和土耳其的《征服1453》，电影讲述的其实是国家的故事，透过小孩视角回忆一个普通闽南家庭的过往，进而谱写了整个国家、民族的衍变历史。 和电影一样，美术馆都有自己的故事要讲，尤其是那些以地标立命的美术馆。 如果说中国美术馆讲的是党国，美国的犹他美术馆讲的是西拓，那新加坡国家美术馆要讲的故事又是什么? 2005年，新加坡总理李显龙在国庆群众大会演说中首提设立新加坡国家美术馆的政府计划。 2015年，美术馆落成开幕，时至今日共藏作品8000余幅。 从规模上讲，这远算不上显赫，相较仍属起步阶段的中国美术馆之20余万件藏品而言几近屈指可数，但作为一座城市的美术馆而言这已是成绩斐然。 抛开数量看质量，新加坡政府对待艺术的态度是恭敬而慎重的，不惜将市区黄金地段的前最高法院大厦和政府大厦专门腾出，成就了今天高水准的国际性美术殿堂。 技法是工具，作品是媒介，透过20多个展厅对艰辛创业史娓娓道来，新加坡国家美术馆试图绘制著其民族身份的唇齿凝眸。 1945年，日据结束，新加坡重回英国管辖。1963年，根据公投结果，新加坡加入了由马来亚、砂拉越和沙巴组成的马来西亚联邦。1965年，因新加坡与联邦政府龃龉以及联邦政府对新加坡华人过多而不易于统治的顾虑，新加坡被逐出联邦，从此开启了独立创业的发展史。 殖民记忆犹新，贫苦尚存，民族身份的定义与国运茫茫构成了年轻国家自问的思绪，也绘出了新加坡国家美术馆的收藏与陈列脉络。 ![National
