# 新加坡将从21年9月起全面禁止售卖任何象牙制

新加坡国家公园局12日宣布，

新加坡将从2021年9月1号起，

全面禁止在当地售卖任何象牙制品。

公园局文告指出，这项禁令生效后，

所有象牙或象牙制品将不准在新加坡销售。

此外，任何与销售相关的象牙或象牙制品展示也将禁止。

禁令生效后，违禁行为将依照《濒危物种（进出口）法案》受到处罚：

每一件违禁品罚款10000新元，总计不超过1百万新元；

另一经定罪，违禁者最高可被判处12个月监禁。

新加坡是《濒危物种国际贸易公约》（Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora，简称CITES）签约国。

文告指出，这项禁令将凸显新加坡打击非法象牙贸易的决心。

该文告指出，在9月1号过后，

售卖象牙或相关制品的商家可将象牙捐作教育用途或收藏。

国家环境局会提供协助，确保相关流程顺利进行。

但是，有些民族将象牙作为宗教信仰所用，

因此，公园局强调，象牙仍允许在宗教及教育目地下展示拥有使用象牙制作，

如乐器或鸟笼等物品的公众，

仍可继续在公共场合使用这些物品。
