IBDP
IB课程是为全球学生开设从幼儿园到大学预科的课程，为3-19岁的学生提供智力，情感，个人发展，社会技能等方面的教育，使其获得学习，工作以及生存于世的各项能力。
IBDP（即国际文凭大学预科课程），16-19岁学生大学预科课程，学制2年。
The IB program is a kindergarten to college preparatory program for students worldwide, providing students ages 3-19 with the intellectual, emotional, personal development, and social skills they will need to survive in the world.
IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma) is a 2-year college preparatory program for students aged 16-19.
A-LEVEL
A-LEVEL，是英国的普通中等教育证书考试高级水平课程，是英国的全民课程体系，也是英国学生的大学入学考试课程，学制2年。
A-LEVEL, a British GCSE Advanced Level course, is a universal curriculum system in the UK and a university entrance exam course for UK students, with a 2-year duration.

IBDP
IB课程分配在六个基础学科领域里，学生既要学习科学科目，又要学习人文科目。所有参加文凭项目的学生，必须在这六个学科组中每组选一门课程进行学习。每一门课程又分为高级课程和普通课程。
The IB curriculum is distributed among six foundational subject areas where students take both science and humanities subjects. All students enrolled in the Diploma Program must take one course from each of these six subject groups. Each course is further divided into advanced and general courses.
IB课程分为最具挑战性的高等级课程(HL)和稍难的(SL)。IB要求学生至少选六门课+Theory of Knowledge。除了对学生的课业要求外，IB还要求学生在两年内完成150个小时的课余活动。
The IB curriculum is divided into the most challenging Higher Level (HL) and Slightly More Difficult (SL) courses.The IB requires students to take at least six courses + Theory of Knowledge.In addition to the coursework required of students, the IB also requires students to complete 150 hours of after-school activities over a two-year period.
A-LEVEL
A-Level课程包含70多门，涉及文、理、工、商等各学科。一般学生选择3至4门来学。第一年称为AS水准，学生通常选择自己最擅长且最有兴趣的4门课，通过考试后获得AS证书。第二年称为A2水准，学生可选择AS水准中优秀的3门课继续学习，通过考试后获得A-Level证书。
The A-Level curriculum consists of over 70 courses in various disciplines including Arts, Science, Engineering and Business. Students usually choose 3 or 4 subjects to study. In the first year, called AS level, students usually choose the 4 subjects that they are best at and most interested in, and pass the exams to get the AS certificate. In the second year, called A2 level, students can choose 3 subjects from the AS level that they excel in and pass the exams to get the A-Level certificate.

With their grades, IBDP students can apply to more than 6,000 universities worldwide, including Ivy League universities in the United States, Oxford and Cambridge universities in the United Kingdom, the University of Hong Kong, the National University of Singapore, and other top universities. Students with good grades can also receive one year of free college credit.
A-LEVEL
A-level课程全球已经有超过160多个国家的9000多所学校开设，可以申请英国本土大学和美国，澳洲等其他国家大学。
客观来讲，虽然A-level和IB都广受认可，但A-level在英国更重要，IB在欧洲、亚洲、美国的接受度更广。
The A-level course is offered by more than 9,000 schools in over 160 countries worldwide and can be applied to universities in the UK and other countries such as the US and Australia.
Objectively speaking, although both A-level and IB are widely recognized, A-level is more important in the UK and IB is more widely accepted in Europe, Asia and the US.

Which course is suitable for you
“IB或A - Level是学生必须做出的选择。宽泛地说，如果你想成为一名医生、兽医或工程师等，那么你需要选择3到4门A水准课程。如果你喜欢做任何事情，那么IB非常适合你，因为你可以选择六门课程，包括英语、数学、人文和语言。”
"IB or A - Level is a choice that students have to make. Loosely speaking, if you want to be a doctor, a veterinarian or an engineer, for example, then you need to choose three or four A-level courses. If you have a wider range of interest , then IB is perfect for you because you can choose six courses, including English, math, humanities and languages."
因此，IBDP更适合全能学生；在某一科目或专业领域比较强的学生更适合A -Level。
Therefore, IBDP is more suitable for all-round students; students who are stronger in a particular subject or area of specialization are more suitable for A-Level.
