新钞浓缩了新加坡开埠200年的历史

正面是新加坡首任总统尤索夫·伊沙克(Yusof Ishak)的肖像，

以及当时的最高法院和市政厅（现在是新加坡国家美术馆）。

背面则印着19世纪初，来到新加坡的8位先驱人物。

新钞的右下角代表最初开埠时舟车繁忙、欣欣向荣的新加坡，

左边则是如今摩天大厦鳞次栉比的金融中心新加坡。

古今被一条弯弯的新加坡河串联起来，象征着历史源远流长。
