# 新加坡《开埠两百年》展览活动再现新加坡发展史

2019年，正是新加坡开埠的200周年。

为此，新加坡举办有一系列的活动，

其中《开埠两百年》展览是活动的重头戏。

该展览预计9月中旬后结束。

在新加坡，“莱佛士”是一个非常重要的存在。

1819年，英国殖民时期政治家史丹福·莱佛士登陆新加坡，

说服柔佛苏丹允许英国东印度公司在新加坡设立自由港，

成为新加坡历史上的重要转折点。

该展览以反思的形式叙述新加坡的发展历程，

并追溯到英国人1819年登陆前的500年。

展览包括两个部分，分为在室内举行的“时空旅者”多媒体秀，

和“历史寻踪”户外体验。

“时空旅者”位于福康宁艺术中心，

分为五幕再现新加坡历史。

其中第五幕是全场压轴表演。

参观者在雨水的包围下，

见证新加坡如何在二战后浴火重生，

通过水特效展现新加坡的建设成就。

“这不是一个庆祝，而是一个纪念。”

新加坡人力部长及开埠200年工作组主席杨莉明表示，

开埠的正确定位是转折点，而不是新加坡历史的起点。

新加坡历史的起点应该追溯到700年前。

在展望未来的过程中，

她希望新加坡在历史中吸取教训。
