一、关于南洋理工大学
Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) is a young, research-intensive university that has earned a global reputation for academic and research excellence within a short span of time.
A fast-rising university, NTU is ranked 11th globally in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2018 and has been placed No. 1 among the world’s best young universities since 2014.
With strengths in engineering, science, business, education, humanities, arts and social sciences, NTU delivers a holistic education to a cosmopolitan mix of undergraduate and postgraduate students representing about 100 nationalities. In partnership with Imperial College London, NTU has a medical school, the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
The lush NTU campus, named one of the top 15 most beautiful in the world, is home to about 33,000 students as well as 5,000 faculty and researchers. NTU also has a campus in Novena, Singapore’s medical district.
Internationally recognised schools
Helmed by Professor Bertil Andersson, winner of the 2010 Wilhelm Exner Medal, an honour bestowed on the world’s best scientists, NTU has achieved global distinction across multiple disciplines.
In engineering and technology, NTU is ranked 4th worldwide in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2017, with the Schools of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Materials Science taking 6th and 7th places respectively. With six schools, NTU’s College of Engineering is among the top nine globally for research output and the 5th most cited in the world (Essential Science Indicators 2017).
Mirroring this success is the College of Science, whose young chemistry department is ranked 5th among universities in the Nature Index Global 2016. Boosted by research at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU is also strengthening its foothold in areas such as biomedicine and life sciences.
The well-established Nanyang Business School is regularly featured among the leading business schools in Asia, with its MBA programme consistently rated top in Singapore since 2004 by The Economist.

二、历史沿革
1980年，南洋大学和新加坡大学合并，成立新加坡国立大学。
1981年，新加坡政府在南洋大学校址成立南洋理工学院，为急速腾飞的新加坡经济培育工程专才。
南洋理工学院声誉日隆，1985年被英联邦工程理事会评为世界上最杰出的工程学院之一。
1987年，成立会计与商业学院，现已发展成为享誉国际的南洋商学院。1988年，成立应用科学学院。
1991年南洋理工学院进行重组，将国立教育学院纳入旗下，更名为南洋理工大学。
1992年成立传播学院。
1995年，会计与商业学院更名为南洋商学院。
1996年，南洋大学校友录转入南洋理工大学保存。
2000年，应用科学学院进行重组，成立计算机工程学院和材料工程学院。
2001年，设立生物科学学院。同年，土木与结构工程学院更名为土木与环境工程学院。
2004年，设立人文与社会科学学院，开办经济学荣誉文学士学位课程，并推出中文、英文、经济学、心理学和社会学副修课程。同年，开办三项全新本科课程：化学与生物分子工程学位课程、计算机科学学位课程以及海事研究学位课程。
2005年，艺术、设计与媒体学院和理学院学位课程开班。同年，机械与制造工程学院更名为机械与宇航工程学院，新设立的宇航工程系开办新加坡首个宇航工程学位课程。同年，材料工程学院更名为材料科学与工程学院，附属工程学院的生物工程系和化学与生物分子工程系合并为化学与生物医学工程学院。
2006年，南大正式自主，从法定机构转为非盈利企业。
2007年，南大第二个校区南大纬壹校区和校友俱乐部正式开幕。

Nanyang Business School (College of Business)
The Nanyang Business School (NBS) offers one of the world's top 100 MBA programmes and is the only business school in Singapore and one of only three in Asia to be awarded both the EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) and AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditations ¨C international hallmarks of quality.
NBS also offers three-year direct Honours degree programmes in Accountancy and Business.
College of Engineering
NTU's College of Engineering is one of the world's largest engineering colleges with six schools focused on technology and innovation. The college offers a rich array of multidisciplinary programmes and specialisations. In addition to the 12 single degree programmes, the college also offers double degrees, double majors and integrated programmes as well as the only aerospace engineering programme in Singapore.

工程学院
南洋理工大学工学院是世界最大的工程学院之一，旗下分六个学院，焦点在技术和创新。工学院提供大量的多学科项目和专业课程。除了12个单学位项目，工学院也提供双学位、双专业、综合课程以及新加坡仅有的航空航天工程课程。
