# 新加坡医院牙具消毒不彻底！恐多人感染！

事源一名诊所职员在12月4日发现有一个牙具没有完成最后一个消毒步骤。

院方隔天调查后发现，共有八包于11月28日进行处理的牙具没有完成最后一个消毒步骤，而且可能用来为病患提供门诊疗程。

11月28日至本月5日到陈笃生医院牙科诊所的病患共有575人。

院方无法确定没彻底消毒的牙具用在哪些人身上，而且每名病患可能用上超过一包牙具，

因此可能被细菌感染的确切人数虽不详，但最多是八人。

陈笃生医院上周六（8日）把事件上报给卫生部。

卫生部已指示医院和它所属的国立健保集团彻查此事，之后向卫生部汇报调查结果和跟进行动。

院方文告引述医院医药委员会主席廖泳杰副教授说：“我们就这次疏失导致病患和家人感到忧虑，诚心地向他们道歉。”

根据医院提供的资料，整个牙具清洗分为三个步骤！

一、由人工清洗后，利用超声波仪器和含有酶（enzyme）的液体进行超声波降解（sonication）；

二、风干后进行包装、密封并贴上标签；

三、额外利用蒸汽，杀灭细菌孢子（bacterial spores）。

医院指出，完成首两个步骤意味着“令人担忧的微生物几乎已百分百被消除”。

院方表示事发后已采取额外管控措施，但没有说明有哪些措施。

全国牙科中心去年6月发生类似事件。

有一批牙科器具因人为失误，在未经彻底消毒情况下在专科诊所使用。

但是这样的情况，就算是做完前两步已经干净了，但是这可是病毒而且是进入嘴的东西！

就算少一步，大家也觉得不干净啊！

还是希望相关部门多多注意，避免再次发生吧！
