2、加强个人防护，进入林区或野外时，要穿长袖衣衫，扎紧腰带、袖口、裤腿，颈部系上毛巾，皮肤表面涂擦药膏可预防蜱虫叮咬，外出归来时洗澡更衣，防止把蜱虫带回家。 蜱虫是一种嗅觉动物，对汗臭和二氧化碳特别敏感，在15米的距离就能感觉到，男性在上山或者下地的时候，运动量大，出汗多，容易吸引到蜱虫。 野外活动时，尽量穿浅色衣服，可便于查找有无蜱虫附着。 衣物表面应当尽量光滑，这样蜱虫不易粘附。 平时尽量避免带宠物进入未修剪过和未除虫的草坪，如果带宠物去郊外出游做好体外驱虫，随身携带即时杀虫产品，以防宠物将蜱虫带回家中。 可用乙醚、氯仿、旱烟油涂在蜱的头部或在蜱旁点燃烟头、蚊香烤它，数分钟后蜱虫就自行松口，或用凡士林、液体石蜡涂在蜱虫的头部，使其窒息，然后用镊子轻轻把蜱拉出。 2、去除蜱虫后伤口要进行消毒处理，如发现蜱的口器断在皮内要手术切开取出。 3、在伤口周围用2%盐酸利多卡因作局部封闭，亦有人用胰蛋白酶2 000 u加生理盐水100mL湿敷伤口，能加速伤口的愈合。 4、出现全身中毒症状要给予抗组胺药如扑尔敏、地氯雷他定、盐酸左西替利嗪左或皮质类固醇如：米乐松、强的松等。出现蜱麻痹或蜱咬热要及时进行抢救。如创面有继发感染要进行抗炎治疗。
