竹脚小贩中心的“545黄埔虾面”摊主为了让父母逐渐退休，并准备拓展生意，以14元时薪，或可高达3400元的月薪上网招聘。

“545黄埔虾面”自1934年由摊主的先辈在沿街挑担做起，拥有85年历史。

自称“虾面嫂”的摊主五年半前从金融白领改行，用心继承家传古早味，摊位每天大排长龙，引起海内外美食家关注。

去年国庆群众大会她也受邀和另八名年轻小贩到场烹煮，以支持小贩文化申遗。

按照行情，头手时薪可达13元。

不过，由于“虾面嫂”的虾面秘方不外传，这摊聘请的头手主要负责煮食和接待食客，职务与摊位助手差不多，14元比起摊位助手8元至10元的市价，高出了至少四成。

5月中通过两轮面簿招聘后，接到约128份申请，面试后遴选出两人，一个是32岁男子，另一个是26岁女郎。

两人工作都很勤奋，态度很好，可惜无法留任。

男头手因一些工作细节不符合期望，试用期后就离职。女头手方面，她感觉虾面摊意很好，顾客期望很高，自认无法胜任...

在早前的招聘启事中，虾面摊请头手的条件是能说华英双语、能适应快节奏工作环境、最好住附近、有经验。
