新加坡教育又出大動作了！

7月25日，教育部網站公布了具體細節。從2021年起，教育部將取消總積分（T-score）制度，改成使用積分等級（Achievement Level，簡稱AL）。

AL共分為八級，AL 1是最優秀的等級，而AL 8則是最差。

總成績將結合英語、數學、科學和母語四個科目的AL等級。也就是說，總成績最好的分數是AL 1 x 4科=4分，最低的總分數是AL 8 x 4科=32分。

這有點類似於新加坡O水準考試，都是分數越低越好。只要總分數不超過20分，升入中學時就有可能進入快捷課程。

第一批受影響的，是今年小四的學生。

他們在升到五年級的時候，可以根據年終考試的成績，來選擇要上普通水平科目（Standard level），還是難度較低的基礎水平科目（Foundation level）。

普通水平科目使用AL 1至AL 8的評分方法，基礎水平科目則用AL A至AL C的評分方法。

但由於基礎水平科目比起普通水平科目相對容易，因此換算起來，基礎科目拿A的話，就等同於普通科目制度中的AL 6：

在這個新的積分制下，學生的成績將基於他們個人在各個科目的表現。教育部表示，新制度將更好地反映學生的表現，而不是過度與其他學生作比較。

同時，修讀高級華文，也會讓小六學生報讀同一所特選中學時，在總分相同的情況下更有升學優勢。
