說到吳岱融很多人知道他是陌上人如玉，公子世無雙的花無缺，劇迷心中吳岱融後再無花無缺。

吳岱融三十多年前在香港拍過不少經典的作品，比如花無缺，比如傅紅雪或者是卓不凡。實際上這位翩翩佳公子是生於新加坡，一開始進演藝行業是在新加坡。

吳岱融在新加坡經典的劇有《人在旅途》，繼這部劇後有一部《盜日英雄傳》，這兩部劇的基本上是同一班人馬，主演是吳岱融、向雲、陳莉萍、陳天文等。

故事的歷史背景是在靖康之難時期，因秦檜與其養子秦熺、妻子王氏等向宋高宗進讒言，一代名將岳飛蒙冤被殺。

向雲扮演的宋高宗的妹妹建國公主自金國逃回，吳岱融扮演的文武雙全的周媛被選為建國公主的駙馬，但是陳莉萍扮演的金兀朮的女兒昌平公主也愛慕著周媛。

這應該是新加坡第一部真正意義上的古裝劇。而吳岱融也是因為拍這部劇過程中腿受傷去香港修養，之後就有了花無缺。
