「第一，要準備好時間和體力，因為新國大教學嚴格，連續多日每天8小時的課程，對體力和精力都是很大的挑戰，但累並快樂著，只有在這種教學嚴謹和辛苦付出的環境下歷練，才會獲得真正的收穫。 第二，調整好心態，在學習的過程中會遇到各種挑戰和問題、甚至是衝突，但這都是學習經歷中重要的一部分。清零、把自己調整到空杯的狀態，包容接納並重新審視自己，你將有可能獲得巨大的改變和提升。」 談到對同學們的祝福和期許，烏教授表示：「希望同學們不斷從外部吸收新知識，打破自己經驗的桎梏，內化到自己的知識體系。一步一步穩紮穩打，探索學院，探索學校，探索新加坡，探索東南亞，終具有立足亞洲，放眼全球的胸襟和氣魄，願各位可以以新國大為起點，收穫知識、提升視野，在此基礎上，擴大人生和事業的格局。」 宋照禮教授指出，要做好計劃，利用零碎時間和事業上的空窗期，在學習上投入；鍛鍊體魄，全情參與戈壁一堂課沙漠挑戰，在身體上投入；付出信任，收穫友情，師生互長，在人脈上投入。做到這三個「投入」，定能在未來的學習中大有收穫。 來自馬來西亞的闞偉男同學發表了感言：「明天是我的生日，我收到了國大給我的最好的生日禮物——讓我站在新的起點，開啟新的人生。雖然只有一天的時間，我卻從與大家的交流中收益良多，這些收穫讓我既興奮又焦慮。焦慮在於，當我進入這個集體，當我身上貼上國大的標籤時，我必須全力以赴，對自己生活工作要求更加嚴格。」 EMBA 27班B班的高原談起自己參加開學典禮的感受，感觸良多。她表示：「新國大商學院EMBA的口碑和魅力讓眾多優秀的同學從台灣、香港、新加坡、中國大陸等地聚集一堂，我相信大家都會調整至空杯的心態，沉澱下來，虛心受教，把這個口碑從我們身上繼續傳承下去。」
