# 新加坡將從21年9月起全面禁止售賣任何象牙制

新加坡國家公園局12日宣布，

新加坡將從2021年9月1號起，

全面禁止在當地售賣任何象牙製品。

公園局文告指出，這項禁令生效後，

所有象牙或象牙製品將不准在新加坡銷售。

此外，任何與銷售相關的象牙或象牙製品展示也將禁止。

禁令生效後，違禁行為將依照《瀕危物種（進出口）法案》受到處罰：

每一件違禁品罰款10000新元，總計不超過1百萬新元；

另一經定罪，違禁者最高可被判處12個月監禁。

新加坡是《瀕危物種國際貿易公約》（Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora，簡稱CITES）簽約國。

文告指出，這項禁令將凸顯新加坡打擊非法象牙貿易的決心。

該文告指出，在9月1號過後，

售賣象牙或相關製品的商家可將象牙捐作教育用途或收藏。

國家環境局會提供協助，確保相關流程順利進行。

但是，有些民族將象牙作為宗教信仰所用，

因此，公園局強調，象牙仍允許在宗教及教育目地下展示擁有使用象牙製作，

如樂器或鳥籠等物品的公眾，

仍可繼續在公共場合使用這些物品。
