# 新加坡青少年引擔憂

青少年自殺問題一直以來備受關注，其自殺年齡已逐漸下降。根據[新加坡](https://www.sgcn.com/)援人協會（Samaritans of Singapore, 簡稱SOS）近日統計，

去年共94青少年選擇走上自殺的路，每10個青少年外部原因死亡案件中，有6起是自殺案件。

值得注意的是，去年少年（10-19歲）的自殺率是自1991年以來創新高！！

協會指出，整體而言，除了60歲以上的人士，去年各年齡層的自殺個案都有所增加。青少年和男性的自殺趨勢尤其令人關注。

數據顯示，去年共有94名、10到29歲的年輕人選擇自尋短見。自殺目前仍是這個年齡段的年輕人最主要的死因。

通過援人協會的電郵輔導服務求助的人當中，超過78%年齡介於10到29歲。

協會認為：現今的青少年更強烈地意識到自己覺得孤獨和無助，也比較願意向協會、社交媒體和朋友尋求援助。

儘管如此，許多青少年在人生最黑暗的時期還是覺得無助，認為自殺是終結苦痛的唯一選擇。這一點令人擔憂。

他們處在一個將男子氣概（masculine qualities）視為重要成功因素的社會，因此，對於顯示軟弱的行為是不允許的。

男性一向被定型為堅強、經濟穩定的角色，一旦展現一絲絲軟弱將被視為是失敗的象徵，

而社會將他們推向持續追求物質需求朔造成功形象，使他們與至親之人的關係疏遠，也減弱了他們的社會支持系統。

事實上，在那些寫信給援人協會求助並公開年齡的人當中，就有78%以上是青少年。截至今年3月，援人協會也觀察到，青少年求助者增加超過56%。

值得注意的是，年齡介於10歲至19歲的男性自殺者去年達到19人，是自1991年有記錄以來最高，與2017年的七人相比，增加170%。

然而，在這個年齡層，男性尋求援人協會幫助的電話和電郵只占了30%及27%。

援人協會認為，社會認為男性必須堅強，並應具備應對一切挑戰的能力等刻板印象，是阻止他們求助的障礙之一。

自殺的青少年不論年代和性別，基本上有一個共同點，就是從小缺乏愛、關注和安全感。

因此，預防自殺應從小、從家庭做起。家長的價值觀會直接影響孩子的舉止，而他們的行為和語言更可能在無形中給孩子帶來陰影和創傷。
