這次火患造成八因燒傷或吸入濃煙入院，當中包括一名民防部隊人員。

民防部隊7月5日晚上7時零3分通過面簿指出，火患下午3時45分發生後，火勢蔓延至整個第720座組屋底層，隨時可能擴散。民防隨即控制火勢，並疏散該座居民及附近一家學習中心的孩童。火患在下午4時30分受到控制，失火原因仍在調查中。

新加坡民防部隊出動了19輛緊急救援車、60名消防員，使用了10支水柱和一個無人消防機器滅火，耗時1個小時，才將火患控制住。

之後，消防員繼續澆濕現場，以確保沒有火星重燃。

作為李顯龍總理管理的宏茂橋集選區，這裡的每個鄰里都如同家人一般，李顯龍總理對此次意外也高度關注，對熱心人士的幫助表示感謝，並希望傷者早日康復。李總理還透過面簿貼文說，他已向同為宏茂橋集選區議員的貿工部高級政務部長許寶琨醫生了解火患和受影響居民的情況。

而這場火災是MyCK三年來的第二場火患...

三年前MyCK百貨總部大火損失2000萬元，前天宏茂橋大火又燒毀兩家分店，超過50名商界好友紛慰問打氣，CK集團創辦人洪振群感嘆：「三年兩起無情火，燒到我無所適從……」

2016年8月17日淡濱尼92街的CK百貨總部六層樓大廈遭大火燒毀。據了解，那場大火讓集團損失約2000萬元。

MyCK分店遭遇大火後，逾50名商界好友在WhatsApp群組慰問MyCK的創始人，為他打氣。

習慣每天在好友圈分享生活心得的MyCK創始人，也發了一則「靜心晨語」回應好友慰問：「一波未平一波又起，公司在三年內兩起火患，無情火燒到自己真的無所適從……人生無常，學習接受，沉著應對，開心每一天。」

他說，擁有20家分店的公司恢復得很快，總部大火三天後分店照常營業，兩周後啟用樟宜南的臨時總部。2017年6月總部開始重建，去年8月總部遷回舊址辦公。

他透露，火患發生後獲得四方聲援，數十位商界朋友欲伸出援手，「但我沒拿他們的錢，只拿了他們的情義」...

不過，火是不講情義的,看到這樣的災難，聯想到我們都生活在同一塊土地上，大家都住在一棟一棟的組屋裡，家庭應該具備什麼樣的防火知識？應該常備什麼樣的應急物品呢？如果真的發生災難，我們應該怎麼做呢？

以下是比較公認的家庭必備「御火」知識：

1、家用火災保險

如果你的組屋還有貸款的話，火險是強制性的，如果你的組屋已經沒有貸款的情況下，火險是非強制性的，然而，為什麼不買呢？5年才新幣$5.5元，買個安心，買個保險，買個比一頓午餐還超值。必須買！

2、家用火災報警器

消防專家、消防工作者，首推神器——投資小、回報大，關鍵時候能保命。

上世紀70年代開始，美國人就開始在家裡裝報警器了，大約90%的家庭都有了。

家用火災報警器，包括煙感、溫感、燃氣探測器。火情發生時，它們分別能通過煙霧濃度、溫度高低、燃氣濃度探測到火情，並發出本地強音強光報警，提醒家人，叫醒夜間熟睡的家人，儘快逃生或撲救。無線聯網的家用火災報警器，還能與家人、物業、保安的手機關聯，探測到火情時，自動不斷地撥打電話、發送簡訊、APP告警，防火效果更好、安全性更高。

安裝：一般每個臥室、客廳，餐廳，廚房，都要至少安裝一個，面積大時可適當多安幾個。安裝的位置是天花板，每間屋的相對中央。

電池：購買安裝時，一定要注意電池壽命，儘量選壽命長一些的，有三年五年的，就別選一兩年的，畢竟買來要用至少十幾二十年，老換電池，太麻煩，不能及時發現的話還易出現檢測盲區。

而且，因為好的報警器能在陰燃階段就能探測到火情，真正防患於「未燃」，保護生命財產免受損失。

3. 滅火器

滅火器:常見的有ABC類乾粉滅火器，水基滅火器。前者價格相對便宜，但是只能滅平面火源，而且滅不凈會復燃，不能對著人噴。後者適合家用，價格較貴，可以滅立體火源，也能噴人身上防火。

手提式ABC類乾粉滅火器，使用前應先上下搖晃幾次，使用時「一拔銷子、二提管子、三壓把子」，提起噴管對準火焰根部滅火。

水基滅火器，是在距離燃燒物6-10米左右，拔掉保險銷，一隻手握住開啟的壓把，另一隻手握住噴槍，開啟壓把時，要向下壓且緊握住不放，對準火焰根部滅火。

滅火器應存放在乾燥通風、隨手可拿到的地方，避免陽光照射、雨淋、遠離腐蝕性物質，不可放在衛生間或者暖氣上。同時，還要注意定期檢查，看是否過期或者壓力不足。

4. 防煙面具

現實中，很多人並不是被明火燒死，而是被煙燻致死。家中常備可用於火場濃煙環境下逃生自救的防煙防毒面具，危急關頭套上面具逃生可有效抵禦有毒煙霧的侵襲。

防煙防毒面具又叫消防過濾式自救呼吸器，是防止火場有毒氣體侵入呼吸道的個人防護用品，由防護頭罩、過濾裝置和面罩組成。

最常見的防煙防毒面具分海綿、石棉網和活性炭三種。其中，活性炭無論對煙塵或者是有毒氣體的過濾性能都很好。一般設備僅供一次性使用，不能用於常態性工作保護，只供個人逃生自救。

防煙防毒面具屬於過濾式，並不是自生氧，當環境氧氣濃度低於17%時不可再使用；其雖具有一定的氣密性但並不防水，不可在水中使用。

5. 逃生繩

家中突起大火，逃生「無門」該如何處理？常備一根逃生繩，可以很大程度減少意外事故的發生。最好選用內芯為軍用航空鋼絲，外包由尼龍線編制而成的逃生繩。粗細為拇指粗細即可，一般承受重量在200公斤。相比市面上逃生緩降器少則幾百上千元的價格，逃生繩價格更為親民。

使用操作：逃生繩固定點一定要選取牢固的物體，如窗戶、暖氣管等，綁定後用力拉下以檢驗是否牢固可靠。使用時，將安全帶纏繞在臀部、腰間或腋下，調緊安全繩鬆緊口，並將救生繩順著窗口拋下，依次沿繩逃離。
