# 新加坡醫院牙具消毒不徹底！恐多人感染！

事源一名診所職員在12月4日發現有一個牙具沒有完成最後一個消毒步驟。

院方隔天調查後發現，共有八包於11月28日進行處理的牙具沒有完成最後一個消毒步驟，而且可能用來為病患提供門診療程。

11月28日至本月5日到陳篤生醫院牙科診所的病患共有575人。

院方無法確定沒徹底消毒的牙具用在哪些人身上，而且每名病患可能用上超過一包牙具，

因此可能被細菌感染的確切人數雖不詳，但最多是八人。

陳篤生醫院上周六（8日）把事件上報給衛生部。

衛生部已指示醫院和它所屬的國立健保集團徹查此事，之後向衛生部彙報調查結果和跟進行動。

院方文告引述醫院醫藥委員會主席廖泳傑副教授說：「我們就這次疏失導致病患和家人感到憂慮，誠心地向他們道歉。」

根據醫院提供的資料，整個牙具清洗分為三個步驟！

一、由人工清洗後，利用超聲波儀器和含有酶（enzyme）的液體進行超聲波降解（sonication）；

二、風乾後進行包裝、密封並貼上標籤；

三、額外利用蒸汽，殺滅細菌孢子（bacterial spores）。

醫院指出，完成首兩個步驟意味著「令人擔憂的微生物幾乎已百分百被消除」。

院方表示事發後已採取額外管控措施，但沒有說明有哪些措施。

全國牙科中心去年6月發生類似事件。

有一批牙科器具因人為失誤，在未經徹底消毒情況下在專科診所使用。

但是這樣的情況，就算是做完前兩步已經乾淨了，但是這可是病毒而且是進入嘴的東西！

就算少一步，大家也覺得不幹凈啊！

還是希望相關部門多多注意，避免再次發生吧！
