每年農曆的七月十五，被稱為中元節，又被稱為鬼節，是中國自古就有的一個傳統節日。在這天人們燒紙錢，擺供品祭奠故去親人的亡靈。

鬼節在全世界都有。

比如西方國家的萬聖節，比如墨西哥的亡靈節，《尋夢環遊記》講述的就是它。

在中國，就是中元節前後幾天，大家緬懷一下逝世的親人。

但是到了新加坡，鬼節直接升級為一個月，從七月初一開始，「鬼門關」就開始敞開……

新加坡過鬼節的習俗可謂豐富多彩。

首先，一定要給去世的親人送上冥幣和紙紮，而且這些物品還要與時俱進，現在有啥就給他們燒啥，這算是一種心理慰藉吧。

其次，就是中元會。

新加坡的中元會遍布廟宇、工會、街道等等。中元會在祭拜完畢，讓大家一起分享祭祀的食品。

同時，會把祭拜中的物品競標。這些物品，比如酒、擺設、風扇、微波爐等在這裡被叫做福物，競標的資金會用來做慈善。

此外，還有擺歌台。組屋樓下的草坪上戲台子一搭，歌台就成了，這是送給」好兄弟「的精神食糧。

最後不得不提的就是新加坡的鬼節禁忌：

鬼門關大開，不是所有的鬼都是好鬼。

因此，在鬼月有些禁忌不得不說。

1、不要踩到路上的祭品！

看到路邊的祭品，記著一定一定一定要繞著走。本來麼，人家準備下口了，你一腳上去，不管有意還是無意，這……

2、不要坐在歌台第一排！

大家一定會發現，歌台第一排都是空著的，你千萬不要高興地以為沒人坐去搶，那是留給」好兄弟「的……

3、不要在晚上照相！

據說，這個時候在晚上照相，會有」好兄弟「入鏡哦~

4、拖鞋頭不要衝著床！

當心，有人踩著你的拖鞋爬上你的床……

5、不要撿路邊的錢！

雖然新加坡政府貼心的給大家準備了燒紙錢的鐵桶，但總是有不小心飄出來或被扔出來的！所以，這個這個，這個時候一定要擦亮眼睛，路邊有很多超大額的票票，但是千萬不要撿，不要撿，不要撿……

6、不要靠牆站！

不要靠牆站，萬一伸出一隻手，大家自行腦補……

7、聽到別人喊名字不要回頭！

聽到背後有人叫你的時候，不要回頭，就算要也必須整個轉身，據說人的頭頸和左右肩各有一盞守護燈，萬一亂回頭會把燈熄滅了。

8、不要亂拍別人肩膀！

因為每一個人身體上都有三把火，位於兩肩及頭頂上，會讓鬼神不敢近身，如果用手拍熄肩上火、鬼魂就容易來找麻煩了。

9、不要在半夜低聲哭泣！

孤魂野鬼聽到哭聲，會以為是在召喚它！

10、不要在晚上照鏡子！

白天打扮給人看，晚上打扮給鬼看。晚上照鏡子，萬一鬼出來欣賞呢？
