新加坡的武吉士作為新加坡的主要商業中心之一，

這裡商業非常的繁榮到處坐落著購物中心，酒店，教堂。

在這裡還有最著名的觀音堂每天在這裡有四面八方的遊客以及當地民眾來到這裡燒香。

特別是這個教堂，是眾多新加坡華人在這裡舉行婚禮的地方。

在整個武吉士是年輕人購物的天堂，在這裡各種小商品店琳琅滿目。

雖然看現在這裡非常的繁華，但是如果去追溯起他的過往，

這裡也曾經非常的蕭條，特別是在上世紀70年代的時候整條武吉士街在世界上所有船員的心中那是如雷貫耳。

因為曾經這裡有眾多的酒吧以及美女在店門口不斷的招待客人的景象，

在很多成員的心中也是歷歷在目所以這裡一直被眾多的船員是天堂。

當地的地方政府卻非常不待見這裡。

在沉寂了很多年之後才漸漸地恢復了它往日的繁華。

而唯一不同的是這裡沒有了往日「傷風敗俗」的風氣，

搖身一變成為了舉世聞名的購物聖地。

特別是在這裡擁有著世界各國的美食讓人垂涎欲滴，

再加上非常平民的價格讓很多當地人對這裡也是非常的喜歡。

新加坡作為世界上最發達的國家之一，

應該是一個高消費的國家，但是在武吉士這裡人均幾十塊錢的價格就能吃到非常地道的新加坡美食。
