These supplementary provisions govern the collection and reuse of content or data obtained through 獅城新聞. For those activities, they take precedence over general permissions in the existing terms, subject to non-excludable statutory rights and your rights in content you independently supplied.

These terms apply to the extent permitted by applicable law. They do not exclude or restrict any statutory use or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted by contract.

Use of the site

You may manually browse public pages, make individual searches, and link to pages for personal reference or your organisation's internal reference, subject to these terms. This limited permission does not authorise copying, extraction, redistribution, database reuse, automated access, or AI-related use described below. Do not disrupt the service or present site content as an official certificate or an endorsement by a regulator.

No automated queries or data collection

Unless 獅城新聞 has specifically authorised the activity in writing in advance, you must not send, cause to be sent, or facilitate automated queries or requests to this site, or use bots, crawlers, scrapers, scripts, headless browsers, AI agents, or other automated tools to access, monitor, collect, download, or extract any part of its content or data. This includes articles, headlines, summaries, images, search results, HTML pages, Markdown versions, feeds, and other site endpoints.

This prohibition applies regardless of request frequency, the amount collected, or whether the activity causes any service disruption. It applies equally to commercial, non-commercial, personal, internal, educational, and research purposes. A low request rate, public availability, access without an account, or a claim of non-commercial use does not provide permission.

No unauthorised copying, redistribution, or database reuse

Except for temporary copies technically necessary for permitted manual browsing, or where applicable law requires otherwise, you must not, without our prior written authorisation, copy, reproduce, modify, republish, distribute, disseminate, sell, license, make available to others, or create derivative works from the site's content or data, in whole or in part. You must not systematically collect records, including through repeated manual searches, or use them to create, populate, enrich, or maintain another website, directory, database, contact list, lead-generation service, or information-retrieval product.

These restrictions apply whether the resulting material or service is paid, free, public, private, commercial, or non-commercial. Linking to a public page does not grant permission to copy or republish its contents.

No AI collection, training, or retrieval use

Without our prior written authorisation, you must not collect or use content or data obtained from this site, directly or through a third party, to develop, train, pre-train, fine-tune, test, evaluate, or improve an artificial intelligence or machine-learning model or system. You must not use it to create AI datasets, embeddings, vector databases, or AI knowledge bases, or for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), automated AI browsing or search, or the generation of AI answers, summaries, or recommendations.

These restrictions apply to both model training and use at inference time, including one-off retrieval and collection on a user's behalf. They apply equally to commercial and non-commercial systems, open-source projects, academic research, and internal experiments. Public access to a page or the availability of a Markdown version or feed is not an AI-use licence.

Access controls, third parties, and written permission

You must not evade access controls, rate limits, CAPTCHA challenges, or other restrictions, including by rotating IP addresses or accounts, disguising automated tools, or using proxies or third parties. You must not instruct, enable, authorise, or procure another person or service to carry out an activity prohibited by these terms on your behalf.

Any exception must be expressly authorised by 獅城新聞 in writing in advance and is limited to the purposes, content, methods, volume, and period stated in that authorisation. Silence, an unanswered request, successful access, or the absence of a technical block does not constitute permission. Robots directives, sitemaps, Markdown links, and other discovery mechanisms do not themselves grant a licence to collect, copy, or use data for AI.

To request permission, email [email protected] with the proposed purpose, data scope, access method, request volume, retention period, and any intended AI use or redistribution. We may refuse or limit a request. If these terms are breached, we may suspend or block access, require the prohibited activity to stop and unauthorised copies to be deleted, and pursue remedies available under applicable law.

Source rights and your own content

These terms govern access to and use of 獅城新聞. They do not claim ownership of underlying public facts or remove rights granted by an original publisher for material obtained directly from that publisher. Source content remains subject to its publisher's rights and conditions. A separate source licence does not by itself authorise automated access to, or extraction from, 獅城新聞.

These restrictions do not limit your rights in content you independently created or supplied. You may use the site's authorised export features to export your own account records for personal or internal record keeping; this does not authorise collecting other site-provided content or data.
