AEIS考前衝刺如何複習？
大部分不能順利通過AEIS考試的學生，問題就出在了英文上。
在這最後的一個月里，學生應該更精準的去背詞彙，並深層次理解詞彙的意思。
在新加坡，所有的官方教材、學校的授課以及老師布置的作業都是以英語來完成和交流的。
所以再次提醒，同學們一定要非常重視英語課程的學習。

AEIS英文考試如何寫出高分作文？
先來看看來自課窩AEIS暑假衝刺集訓班的老師，給同學們講解如何寫出一篇高分作文：
題目
You were alone at home when the doorbell rang. You opened the door without checking who it was. Suddenly, a man dashed into your house.
門鈴響的時候，你一個人在家。你沒查清是誰就把門打開了。突然，一個男人衝進了你的房子。
名師指導
我們先看一看題目，門鈴響的時候，你一個人在家。你沒問清是誰就把門打開了。突然，一個男人衝進了你的房子。
這個題目的關鍵點是，你沒有檢查是誰就直接開門，他開了門之後呢，一個人就闖進了你的家裡面。因此，突破點在於你開門前沒有檢查對方是誰——這樣你就可以把這個人設定為陌生人。如果你設定為熟悉的人，例如家人，那麼你的文章就無法展開。至於時間，題目中並沒有提及，所以你可以自己決定。
接下來就應該在故事中詳細描述你如何應對陌生人。再來看看這個故事的設定，你獨自在家的時候有陌生人闖進來，那麼這個故事情節可能90%都會往犯罪方向去發展啊，例如是小偷。但是你如果去寫這類型的題材，儘管內容是合理的，老師也不會扣分，但你的題材肯定就會落入那種比較平庸、比較乏味的那種。有可能改卷老師改100100篇作文，當中95%的學生都寫的是家裡進賊了，家裡進強盜了。所以這個時候我們就要想，我們如何讓老師眼前一亮呢？
可以結合自己的生活常識。例如還有一類人，那就是推銷人員，推銷人員也希望你在家，然後他按門鈴開門，他能夠進來跟你推銷他的產品。推銷人員進來之後，這個故事怎麼展開呢？也儘量不要寫他推銷的東西剛好是我喜歡的，於是我就付錢買了，然後happy ending。如果這麼去寫的話，我們的故事也無法展開。
你可以換個思路，例如，一個推銷員冒然闖進來，我自始至終是處於很懵的狀態，一直想把他趕出去，但是我趕不出去。這樣矛盾就凸顯出來了。接下來就是如何讓他離開，或者說我如何說拒絕他，或者是我沒辦法拒絕他……但是最後會有一個反轉出現，比如說家人趕回來了，把這個推銷人員趕走。這就是一個大致的思路。
那我們接下來看一看這個例文作者是如何去把故事呈現給讀者的。
高分例文：
The doorbell rang when I was alone at home. I jumped out of my seat, pulled open my bedroom door and tore down the stairs to the living room. Without looking through the peep-hole, I unfastened the latch and pulled open the door. "Hi ... " my enthusiasm turned to shock when a stranger rushed into my house.
A cold feeling washed over me. I had a sudden image of myself gagged and bound to a chair while the man robbed my house. However, the man squatted on the floor and began opening a small cardboard box. Taking out a small round gadget about half the size of a basketball with a flat base, he placed it on the floor. He stood up and waved a small remote control in front of me. "This is the coolest invention you have ever seen!" he said with flourish.
Pressing a button on his remote control, the silver gadget with a bright blue star on one side began moving in a fluid motion towards my sofa using its half hidden wheels. The man pressed another button and it jerked to a stop. Then the man spread out his arms by his side. "Ta dah !" he said with gusto.
I stared at him in bewilderment. He held the gadget in both hands and presented it to me as though he was giving me an award. "Just for a low fee of four hundred and twenty dollars," he said with a smile.
"I. .. I. .. " I stuttered. I was too shocked to speak properly.
The man was still beaming at me and I was still standing there in shock when my mother burst into the house. She had seen the open door and thought that something untoward had happened to me. Seeing my mother, the man placed the gadget on the floor and proceeded to turn it on again. As he fiddled with the remote control, he kept up an endless monologue on the benefits of using the gadget. Annoyed, my mother ordered the man to leave the house. She picked up the box and tossed it out of the house. Irritated, the man grabbed the gadget and stormed out of the house.
"You don't know what you're missing!" he hissed before storming off.
I received a stern warning from my mother for opening the door to a stranger. She nagged about the chance of being robbed and hurt. I did not say a word in retaliation. I knew that I was wrong. I should have looked through the peep hole before opening the door.
這篇文章的分數會比較高，因為老師肯定會在創意和吸引方面給他高分，所以說很多學生反映不知道如何寫出一篇好作文，其實最主要就是很難做到創意和新穎。
所以希望大家多多練習brainstorming（頭腦風暴）。拿到題目先審題，審完題之後就問自己到底有多少種可能，然後選你認為有趣的，又比較小眾的一個可能性來進行。相信你在創新上面就能夠有很明顯的提升。
