阿科瑪選擇了位於新加坡裕廊島來建設其新的世界級工廠，專門生產氨基11單體及其旗艦產品Rilsan聚醯胺11樹脂。隨著在2017年7月宣布將其全球產能提高50%，該集團支持其亞洲客戶對高性能生物來源解決方案的強勁需求，這些解決方案尤其應對材料輕量化這一重大機遇。
阿科瑪技術聚合物業務部門全球集團總裁Erwoan Pezron表示：「該地點在基礎設施、物流、工業集成和卓越運營以及優化活動碳足跡方面具有諸多優勢。這一重大投資加強了我們在生物材料領域的全球影響力，同時也使我們與亞洲客戶的關係更加密切。我們相信，新加坡的工業和創新友好環境是我們項目的一項重要資產。」
Rilsan聚醯胺11是從蓖麻油中提取的，因此是唯一被批准用於許多最苛刻應用的100%生物來源的聚醯胺，作為金屬的替代品應用於電子、3D列印、石油和天然氣開採以及汽車市場中。
該項目是集團在2018-2021年期間投資總額約5億歐元的一部分。預計2021年年底完工。
