梵谷在咖啡館畫了《夜間的咖啡館》，海明威在咖啡館完成了一部一部的巨作，晚年的時候他說，「自己不過是流連忘返各個咖啡館的異鄉人」。
1773年政治家和律師在綠龍咖啡館裡策劃了，波士頓傾茶事件。後來引發美國獨立戰爭，最終美國成立。

01.｜ 項 目 概 覽 ｜PROJECT IS AT
項目位於東海岸的加東老街，這裡一直是新加坡最「卷」的咖啡聖地之一。早期的加東，居住了許多富有的土生華人家族。今天，這裡還保留不少富有娘惹建築特色的店屋和民宅。如果說下一個爆火Cafe出道位預定，那我賭是這家名為USD的反轉主題咖啡店。
The project is located on the east coast of Katonglao Street, which has always been one of the most 「Rolled」coffee destinations in Singapore. In the early days of Katong, there lived many wealthy Peranakan families. Today, there are still many rich architectural features of the women’s shops and houses. If the next hot Cafe debuts are booked, my money is on a coffee shop with a twist called USD.
02.｜ 設計理念｜DESIGN CONCEPT
店主是一對熱愛藝術的文青夫婦，Cafe對面的畫廊也是他們經營的。聊到最初的設計理念時，店主說有參考電影《盜夢空間》中映射的概念，夢裡的一切都是倒翻的。
經朋友推薦委託KIM DESIGN錦壹設計公司完成咖啡館的設計，錦壹設計將先進數字色彩設計與視覺心理學導入設計製作中。
在疫情己經蔓延了整整兩年後，所有人都覺得這個世界愈發的荒誕，個人命運在大時代的洪流中愈發難以看清，讓我們一起用咖啡抵抗現實，反轉人生。
The owner, a young art-loving couple, also runs the gallery opposite Cafe. When it comes to the original design concept, the store owner says he took a page from the movie inception, where everything in the dream was upside down.

03.｜ 換個角度看世界｜LOOK AT THE WORLD
店內全部的擺設都是倒轉過來的，打開廣角鏡頭，能拍很多蜘蛛俠一樣倒掛的打卡照呢！
Store all the furnishings are inverted, Open Wide Lens, can take a lot of spider-man hanging upside down like the punch card photo!
04.｜ 顛倒眾生｜TURN THE WORLD UPSIDE DOWN
像著名的馬六甲顛倒屋一樣，新加坡USD Cafe將把你的世界顛倒過來。它家的家具都是朝上的，就連咖啡廳的入口也被設計成倒置的，門、窗、logo，甚至 TraceTogether 二維碼都是倒著的。
Like the famous upside down House of Malacca, Singapore’s USD Cafe will turn your world upside down. The furniture is upside down, even the entrance to the cafe is designed upside down, with doors, windows, logos, and even the TraceTogether Qr code all upside down.

05.｜ 與你相約｜MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WETH YOU
走進店裡，確實是一種令人迷惑的體驗，你會看到畫作、桌椅，以及整個酒吧櫃檯「倒掛」。它的原理是將這些裝置固定在天花板上，在拍攝照片後將照片旋轉180度，以創造出反重力的照片錯覺。當然，店裡也有桌椅供顧客舒適地坐著用餐。
Walking into the store is a truly confusing experience, with paintings, tables and chairs, and the entire bar counter 「Hanging upside down.」. The idea is to attach these devices to the ceiling and rotate them 180 degrees after taking a picture to create an anti-gravity photo illusion. Of course, there are tables and chairs where customers can sit comfortably.
