认真审题
考生切忌信手拈来，提笔就写，根本不审题，想到哪儿就写到哪儿，置考试要求于不顾，作文第一步是仔细审题，考生要仔细阅读试题要求及相关信息，如文字，图画等，准确把握出题者意图。
列出提纲，慎重落笔
虽说考试时间有限，但是切忌匆忙落笔开始胡写乱诌。
你可以先花一点时间列个提纲，对原始材料分析归纳后要形成一个基本的框架。
文章打算分几段写，每段大概怎样写，自数控制在多少，开头段落是道破主题，点名要旨，引人入胜还是先给出主题一般的背景情况和对主题进行浓缩的陈述呢，中间段落和结尾有怎样写呢。这些都要心中有数。
列好提纲开始落笔写作的过程中，要注意如下两点：

突出重点，注重逻辑
考生在选择材料时应注重选择那些最能体现中心思想、最具代表性的材料，这些材料要共同表达一致的信息。
选材时切忌胡子眉毛一把抓。词语堆积，不伦不类。前后及段落之间在逻辑关系上要紧密衔接，不能把没有任何逻辑关系的词放在一起。可以用恰当的关联词把思想连贯的表达出来。

用词准确，语法正确
考试时要特别注意语法，此语，语气，标点符号等。
为了避免太多单词拼写错误，语法错误，不要为了追求词语的华丽而堆积一些自己也没把握的单词，不要刻意追求长句而写一些自己不知对错的有多个从句组成的长句。
考试时最好选择自己最有把握的词汇，短语，句式。
