新加坡政府宣布，3月假期後，學校會照常在周一（3月23日開學）。消息傳出後，有網友投稿說，希望疫情當前，政府能夠暫時停課，直到疫情好轉為止。
以下是她發給新加坡總理李顯龍和外交部長維文的電郵原件，為大家從5大方面分析「為什麼新加坡應該停課」：
尊敬的李顯龍總理和維文議員先生：
作為新加坡的永久居民，我親身經歷了2003年新加坡的薩斯，體驗了2020年中國春節的封城，關注與了解世界各國的疫情局勢，同時也為新加坡的佛系管理表示理解。
自馬來西亞疫情的爆發，3月18日馬來西亞員工的大量湧入以來，新加坡已經進入了一個特殊時期，這包括世界各國人民將新加坡作為一個具有包容性的避風港，新加坡政府將外派人員的召回，這是一個特殊的節點，如果這個時候不能更有效及時地把控，新加坡將迎來一個疫情高峰，並引起爆發。
我認為新加坡應該進行學校停課和社區封閉，並且勢在必行，刻不容緩。具體原因如下： 第一、中國區域在疫情控制方面已經獲得卓有成效的先驅示範，並且已經顯示出其效果。但是輸入型案例層出不窮，並時時有再度擴散的危機，但是中國民眾已經形成了全民防疫的意識，每個人都有一種阻止疫情蔓延的心理條件，因此中國戰勝疫情已經具有一定的優勢。
第二、東亞、歐洲、中東、美洲在中國疫情發生一兩個月後，疫情相繼爆發，充分說明疫情是不分國籍區域和種族，對疫情的軟弱就是對國家安全的軟弱，這種失控會導致國家經濟政治遭到更為慘痛的重創。
第三、新加坡國民對政府的足夠信任而產生的自身安全意識淡漠，包括新加坡政府在內對民眾的佛系輿論引導同時也有起副作用，並且這種副作用會使新加坡進入一個延遲的危機，這種危機更為可怕，不單單是兩個月前單純的中國爆髮帶來的衝擊，而是四面楚歌防不勝防的全球性危機。
第四、新加坡和全球其它國家一樣沒有足夠的防控裝備，主要是口罩。不要姑息，帶有病菌的人首先要經歷不知情的階段，個人行為中包括僥倖心理和恐懼心理，要尊重人性在生存之戰中的軟弱的一面。同時危機蔓延會加劇這種問題的產生。
第五、感染數據的增加，不管其來源何處，但它就在我們身邊。而在學生短假期期間，我們的幼兒園孩子，社區老人依然在社區內集體遊走，高歌曼舞，完全無視於疫情的存在，並給疫情爆發提供了遍布全島的溫床。隨著學校假期開始，出國旅遊交往的意願依然在部分群體當中存在，包括各種教會、集會及聚會，都錯位地以為疫情也會聽從政府安排，不會光顧250人以下的團體。民眾意識的淡漠，是疫情爆發的另一個導火索。
誠然，學生停課、社區封閉以及其他方式控制會帶來更多的問題，包括文化、經濟、政治等等諸方面的連鎖反應，會打破新加坡原有的秩序，但是疫情就是一場戰爭，是一場你死我活的戰爭，沒有疫情的完全控制力，其他願望都將是海市蜃樓，整個社會將會進入另外一種不可預見的崩塌之中。
在世界疫情蔓延的當下，我僅以個人懇請政府對疫情不僅僅停留於一種程序上的重視，而是採取一種不留任何餘地的完全控制行為，即學校停課，社區封閉。
學校停課，社區封閉，事實上就是將政府思維準確地傳達給民眾，讓民眾樹立一種對國家社會的安全責任感，疫情不僅僅是政府的責任，也是社會的責任，是全民和全人類的責任。

Everyone has a psychological condition to prevent the spread of the epidemic. Therefore, China has a certain advantage in defeating the epidemic. Second, one or two months after the outbreak in China in East Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas, the outbreaks have erupted one after another, fully demonstrating that the outbreaks are regardless of nationality and ethnicity. The weakness of the epidemic is the weakness of national security. As a result, the country’s economy and politics have been hit harder. Third, the Singaporeans 』inadequate self-awareness of security caused by the sufficient trust of the government, including the Singapore government ’s guidance to the public on Buddhism, also has side effects, and this side effect will put Singapore into a delayed crisis. The crisis is even more terrible. It is not just the impact of a simple Chinese outbreak just two months ago, but a global crisis that is bewildering. Fourth, Singapore, like other countries in the world, does not have enough prevention and control equipment, mainly masks. Don』t tolerate, people with germs must first go through an unknowing stage. Personal behavior includes chance and fear, and respect for the weak side of human nature in the battle for survival. At the same time, the spread of the crisis will exacerbate this problem. Fifth, the increase in infection data, no matter where it comes from, but it’s all around us. During the short vacation of our students, our kindergarten children, the elderly in the community still walked in the community collectively, singing and dancing, completely ignored the existence of the epidemic, and provided a hotbed for the outbreak throughout the island. As school holidays begin, the willingness to travel abroad still exists among some groups, including various churches, assemblies and gatherings, all misplaced to think that the epidemic will obey the government’s arrangements and will not patronize groups of less than 250 people. The indifference of popular consciousness is another trigger for the outbreak. It is true that student suspension, community closure, and other methods of control will bring more problems, including the chain reaction of culture, economics, politics, etc., which will break the original order in Singapore, but the epidemic is a war. In a life-and-death war, there is no full control of the epidemic. All other wishes will be mirages, and the entire society will enter another unforeseen collapse. At the moment when the world epidemic is spreading, I personally implore the government to attach importance to the epidemic, not just a procedure, but to adopt a kind of complete control without leaving any room, that is, the school is closed and the community is closed. Schools are closed and the community is closed.
